Premium resorts demand absolutely seamless guest connectivity and highly discreet perimeter security. However, expansive topographies and thick concrete-and-stone architectures naturally block RF signals. Ahaasmi Technologies completely transformed the IT infrastructure at D-Zion Resort in Coorg, Karnataka, deploying a specialized fiber-uplinked distribution matrix to ensure flawless performance.

The Challenge: Thick Walls & Legacy Analog Intercoms

D-Zion Resort faced a classic hospitality IT dilemma. Heavy masonry walls intended to provide acoustic privacy for guests were actively blocking Wi-Fi signals from hallway routers, creating massive dead zones inside the rooms. Concurrently, the resort needed a modern PBX upgrade but wanted to retain their existing in-room analog telephones. Lastly, the expansive outdoor terrain required a surveillance grid that was comprehensive yet visually unobtrusive.

The Solution: In-Room Micro-Networking

Our architects designed a 3-Phase approach to eliminate dead zones, integrate legacy telecom hardware, and secure the resort perimeter on isolated VLANs.

  Fiber-Optic Distribution Matrix To overcome the vast geographical spread of the resort, we deployed a fiber-optic backbone linking the main administrative data center to 4 strategic regional nodes across the property, guaranteeing zero latency.

  In-Room & Outdoor Wi-Fi Architecture Instead of blasting Wi-Fi through thick walls, we bypassed them. We installed 23 TP-Link Wall APs (EAP235-Wall) directly inside the guest rooms. For the lawns and pool areas, ruggedized TP-Link EAP610 Outdoor units were deployed.

  Hybrid Telecom & Security Isolation We integrated a 32-Port FXS gateway, allowing the resort's new IP-PBX to communicate flawlessly with the legacy analog room phones. Simultaneously, a 23-camera CP-Plus STQC surveillance grid was deployed on a strictly isolated, mathematically separated VLAN.

The Result: Zero Dead Zones & Ultimate Privacy

Guests now experience seamless, high-speed roaming connectivity from their rooms to the outdoor pool without ever dropping a signal. The administrative operations network is cryptographically isolated from the guest Wi-Fi, preventing lateral security breaches. The entire IT and surveillance footprint operates silently in the background, monitored 24/7 by our Mysuru NOC.
